Future of The X-Files?:
From IMDB News (Megan note - nothing is set in stone!) -

X-Files creator Chris Carter has announced the current season of his hit series is set to be the last. The scriptwriter is concentrating on The Lone Gunmen - a spin-off about Mulder's conspiracy-geek friends. He says if the new show is a success, the sci-fi series will end in May. A second X-Files film is planned for this year. He says, "May's two-hour season finale will be a cliffhanger either for next season, if we return, or for the movie." Actor David Duchovny, who plays Mulder, is not expected back for a new series, but has agreed to appear in the film.

Marita at the movies:
Laurie Holden (Marita Covarrubias) has just been cast as the female lead in a big-budget feature directed by Frank Darabont, "The Majestic", due for relase late 2001. Darabont has previously directed The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Laurie will star opposite Jim Carrey in the feature, which will focus on anti-Communist Hollywood of the 1950s. Laurie has had leading roles in other films, including Expect No Mercy, Past Perfect, and Pathfinder; but this is her first big-budget, high profile lead role. (Thanks Deslea for sending that in!)

Lone Gunmen / Scheduling:
According to the Hollywood Reporter, on March 4th, the first episode of Gunmen will be launched in the regular X-Files spot on the schedule. Gunmen will then turn up on March 16th in its regular Friday night slot. X-Files returns April 1, 2001. The Official Site has been updated with all the new Lone Gunmen dates, times and titles. I'll add those tomorrow :) And, Fandom's Smilin' Jack Ruby has posted several interviews pertaining to the Lone Gunmen - with Frank Spotnitz, with Dean Haglund & Tom Braidwood Part 1 and Part 2.

Medusa Clip!:
New Medusa Clip! I wanted to capture a clip that hadn't been posted somewhere else on the web already, so I captured the Doggett-train-dodge scene. Tee hee, Doggett rocks, but Glow-in-the-dark-train-dodge-Doggett rocks more :) Anywho, I've posted the clip at X-Files Frenzy!! And, if you missed it yesterday, there's also screen captures from Medusa.

New Gish Article / LGM:
Cinescape has posted a new Gish Article in which Annabeth Gish (who will play a new Agent, Monica Reyes) talks about her new role on The X-Files. Cinescape also posted a new Lone Gunmen picture of the whole cast!

Season 3 DVD:
As many of you already know, the Season 3 DVD will be released May 8, 2001. The Official Site has updated with Season 3 DVD info - which includes a complete listing of all the added features and deleted scenes that will be included. This is probably a good time for me to start whining again about not having a DVD Player :)

On ATXC today (Feb. 11th) Suzanne Bickerstaffe posted the sad news from Jamie that Leyla has passed away from melanoma cancer.

Suzanne wrote:
It deeply saddens me to hear this news. Leyla Harrison was responsible for writing some of the best fanfic out there, and also for inspiring a whole generation of X-Files writers. In her long fight with cancer, she was an inspiration to those of us who can only hope we would live our lives with half as much courage and grace as she did. I hope everyone who hears this news will stop for a moment, say a prayer for Leyla, and look up one of her stories to read, to understand what a great talent has been lost.

Okay, I've given in - I read all the Per Manum spoilers and looked at all the pictures. I am very bad... hehehe. Gertie from DuchovnyNet has 3 pages of new Per Manum spoiler pictures!!! You can see those here!! This picture really intrigues me for some reason. And, The Haven also has new Per Manum spoiler pictures! I also have a feeling Amy will have some more Per Manum goodies up soon! And... Look! There's less than 24 hours until 'The Gift'!!!! ::does a happy dance:: (I stole the happy dance idea from Bella. LOL.) And, today ROAD Runners is 3 months old! Happy Birthday! Wow. What a great day!!

So, what IS the Gift?:
We all get to find out tonight (I honestly have no idea since I don't read spoilers!). Yeah! Anywho, I'll have several clips (betcha they'll be mostly Mulder clips!!) up later tonight (after the episode airs) and I'll have screen captures up early tomorrow morning.
