Wednesday, January 31, 2001: 4 DAYS UNTIL "THE GIFT"!!!
THE GIFT!! :
Can you tell I'm excited? The rockin' Official Site has posted new The Gift pictures and a little dialogue tidbit. Yippee! And, I was so pleased with the new Mulder pics that I made two new collages, my favourite one is to your right (click on it to see the larger version) and you can see the other collage here! And, don't forget you check out all my collage at my Collage Gallery!
Where's Krycek?: I was reading my Sunday paper (yes, Sunday I've been busy!) today and came to the Entertainment section and guess what I saw? THIS! There was a little article in the Vancouver Province, which mentions Nicholas Lea and what he's been up to:
Banff has long been a magical place for tourists.
Now, in the road romance Lunch With Charles, it's a modern-day land of Oz, as two couples switch partners by chance and chase their dreams to Banff.
Directed and written by Vancouver's Michael Parker, the movie stars Vancouver's Bif Naked and Nicholas Lea, and Hong Kong actors Sean Lau and Theresa Lee.
Tong (Lau) has put his Hong Kong aspirations on hold and followed by his wife April (Lee) to Canada. Matthew (Lea) has given up his travel-writing career to be with Natasha (Naked), who feels smothered by him.
Parker took a gamble on the rock diva Naked, considering the less than stellar record of a singers-turned-actors. But it paid off big, with Naked giving a fine performance as Natasha, a free spirit in search of her own voice, both in her personal life and on stage.
The rest of the cast is good, too.
Some of the humour gets tiresome (Tong difficulty with the language is overdone) but overall the movie is a sweet look at this little cross-cultural corner of the world.
Lunch With Charles also succeeds as a travelogue, starting with shots of the Fraser Bridge and Vancouver skyline, then moving to spectacular aerial footage of the Rocky Mountains and on into Banff.
Tuesday, January 30, 2001: 5 DAYS UNTIL "THE GIFT"!!!
Awards / The Gift: Drum roll please! We have 4 new award winners! They all totally rock, so check 'em out! Speaking of awards Gillian Anderson was nominated for a SAGA award for her role in The X-Files. Check out the complete list of nominees here. And, I didn't catch 'The Gift' trailer last night. :( I'll try again tonight, but in the meantime, head over to DuchovnyNet for the trailer !and! screen grabs from the trailer. I am *so* hyped up for this episode!!
Monday, January 29, 2001: ONE WEEK UNTIL "THE GIFT"!!!
The Gift / Per Manum spoilers: I added The Gift Print Ad to the Print Ad Gallery. And, unfortunetly Global pre-empted FOX again, so I didn't capture The Gift trailer. I'll have a full screen version of the trailer up later today or tomorrow. So, check back! And, I posted new Per Manum spoilers at Church of X's Prophecies page (Thanks Bella!) And, finally, Off Topic: Did anyone else watch Survivor last night? I was um, well, *so* addicted to the first Survivor this summer, so I was sure not to miss Survivor II last night. Jeff Probst rocks! he he...
Sunday, January 28, 2001
Je Souhaite: FOX is re-running Je Souhaite tonight! I *love* that episode, especially the final scene, so I captured the scene and posted it at X-Files Frenzy (which has moved to yet another server!) And, don't forget that Season 1's Conduit is re-running at 11:05pm tonight!

Updated 10:13am PST (no kidding!): Cinescape Online posted new promo pic of Doggett in Medusa last Wednesday. I just got around to posting it! Click here or on the thumbnail on the right to the larger version!
X-Files Frenzy Debuts!: I have opened another website to archive video clips I capture! Visit X-FILES FRENZY (Please Note: Moved to Spaceports. Best Viewed with Internet Explorer 4+.) to download the end clip from Je Souhaite (which airs this Sunday). Thanks to Gertie for the help! There's not much more to say today! I'm very mad at myself because I overslept yesterday morning and missed a class that I had an assignment due in. Gosh Doggett!
Friday, January 26, 2001: Happy Friday and Happy belated Birthday Jody!
New Video/Article: There is a video of a visit to the Evolution set at DreamWorks. And, The X-Files is mentioned as one of 2000-2001's best shows at zap2it.com:
It's ba-aaack! After a couple of seasons filled with goofy humor, self-parody and romantic teasing between leads David Duchovney [Megan cringes at the spelling mistake] and Gillian Anderson, "The X-Files" is returning to its dark roots of horror and suspense.... Read the Entire Article.
Why the Official Site totally rocks: Three cheers for the Official Site! It's been updated with the Je Souhaite scroll crawl, a new article about award nomination and *drum roll* the title to the infamous 8x08 - "Per Manum". Here's how the latin translates (caution: may contain minor spoilers):
Per: Through (space); during (time); by, by means of
Manum: hand, fist
It can be directly translated as "By Hand"
New Spoilers: I posted new spoilers for Per Manum and Vienen yesterday at Church of X's Prophecies page (Thanks Bella!)
What to look forward to...: I got myself a video capture card yesterday. *g* So, from now on, all the screen captures on ROAD Runners will be my very own and there will be lots of 'em! And maybe i'll even stream a video once and a while! :)
Wednesday, January 24, 2001: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!
New Air Dates/Titles: Yesterday, the Official Site posted new episode titles and air dates, including those for the new Lone Gunmen series. Badlaa Review: Well, I didn't finish my Badlaa review like I had hoped. :( It'll be up soon, but in the meantime you can read Laura Schlee's Badlaa review over at SCIFI.com. Personally, I don't agree with it, but it's an interesting read!
Monday, January 22, 2001
February Sweeps: The TV station I watch X-Files on does not show promos for the following week, so I was happy to see that Amy posted a promo clip (Real Media) for February sweeps over at The Haven (if this url doesn't work use this one). There is also a MPEG version of the clip is posted at The X-Files video archives. Geez, i'm getting so excited! *g* And, I did enjoy last night's episode and will hopefully have my review up sometime later today!
Golden Globes: The X-Files was not nominated for any Golden Globes; however, Gillian Anderson presented the award for "Best Foreign Film" (which was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Taiwan)). There are two pictures of Gillian at the Golden Globes at Yahoo! - Picture 1 and Picture 2. To check out all of the winners head over to E! Online.

How to give Megan a heart attack...: For anyone who tried to access my page from 9am-12pm PST today - sorry, but the server was down. I'm not sure exactly sure why my page disappeared, but I'm thinking the aliens have something to do with it. LOL. I almost had a heart attack thinking the page had been shutdown. Everything's okay now... Phew!
Friday, January 19, 2001: Woo hoo! It's Friday!
Updated 3:30pm PST: Frank Spotnitz talks X-Files to horror online:
"It’s really what we said our intention was from the beginning, which was to get back to the heart of what made the show successful in the first place." Read the entire article HERE!

Thursday, January 18, 2001: Happy Thursday!
Updated 12:30pm PST: I posted a ZAP2it article that stated the DD would be in the new Kevin Smith film...k, I was wrong *again*. And, one more thing - You may want to head back to the Official Site again - there's new Badlaa pictures and some dialouge from the episode! There's even a mention of Mulder!! *g* Off to do some work!!

Evolution Tidbit: Even though Evolution hasn't even hit the big screen yet, an animation series based on the movie is already in the works. You can read all about it at Cinescape Online (which also posted an article about Season 8/9, but it's basically a re-hash of the Pioneer Planet Article I posted on Tuesday!). *Please* tell me David Duchovny will do a voice over!! And, there is a short Zap2It Article about David's short role in another film.
Update/Print Ad/Awards/Random Ramblings: I previously reported that X-Files would be pre-empted Jan 28th, well it turns out I was wrong (*surprise*)! FOX will air the re-run of Je Souhaite! Also, thanks to Michele for letting me know there was *no* print ad for Salvage :) And, ROAD Runners won another award! This one comes from Anna (who is *personally* responsible for me becoming become a FanFic addict. LOL!) from Prometheus 1013! Speaking of fanfic, I was hoping to get some actual studying done yesterday or at least some *real* website updates, but then I started reading FanFic and lurking at the Message Boards. Arg! I think I'm going to have unplug and put a big red X on my computer tomorrow. LOL. Alrightly, that's enough rambling - Don't forget to watch Friends and ER tonight! :)
Wednesday, January 17, 2001
New Stuff: Laura Schlee has her Salvage Review up, which is always good for a laugh :) And, thanks to Khristine and The Haven I've added the Badlaa Print Ad to the Print Ad Archive. Does anyone have the print ad for Salvage? I'm missing that one and the Canadian TV Guide doesn't have those print ads :(
E! Daily News: The Haven has Real Media clips of David Duchovny and the Lone Gunmen on E! - I just saw it and I really enjoyed the interview and am really looking forward to Evolution! And, if you want more info on Gillian Anderson's House of Mirth - check out GAWS, which has all the latest info!
Site Stuff: I've removed the poll because it was (*i think*) slowing down the loading of the page. I'll have a new poll up some time this week that's either faster loading or i'll put it on its very own page! And, I noticed when I was cleaning up some of the website files that I have not updated my trivia in quite a while (bad Megan!). If anyone has some trivia they'd like to contribute, i'd really appreciate it - just send it in! Enjoy your Wednesday!

Good ep and I got so excited when I saw the Burnaby library and the Vancouver sky train. I lived in Burnaby (near Vancouver) last summer as I got a job there.
