ANDERSON CONFIRMS HER X FILES EXIT (Page 14)
Gillian Anderson has gone on record as saying that she will not be returning for the tenth season of The X Files. When asked if rumours to this effect were true, Anderson said "After this season my contract is up." However, she also confirmed that she was open to the idea of appearing in the second X Files feature film, which Chris Carter is currently putting together.
Staying with The X Files and the 'TV Guide', Lucy Lawless spoke to the magazine about the possibility of her recent appearances developing into a recurring role. Unfortunately, this was in the negative. "I'm halfway through my third pregnancy; I'm due and the end of April. I don't see how thay can use a pregnant supersoldier. So I doubt that will happen, but it was a really great experience and I'm so glad I did it. I think they can get on just fine without me."
With ratings already down without Duchovny, whether they can get on just fine without Gillian is another thing.
